When will the dog days of summer be over? When can I leave my Bullie outside and not worry about the heat. Well it depends on where you live first off. Hot is hot all over the country and the world. Sometimes it is not just the actual thermometer reading that needs to be considered. The humidity ALSO plays a crucial role in the breathing and health of your Bulldog. When the humidity is high, the "feels like" temperature is actually hotter than the actual reading. Bulldogs can quickly over heat in even 75-85 degree temps. Pay very close attention to your Bullie anytime they are outside even for a little as 10 minutes. Here in Sunny Arizona, even at 5:00 am the temp can be still 100 degrees. When I let them outside at that time of the morning, it is quick, do your biz and get back in the A/C house. During the daytime, even shorter visits outside. I also make sure that there is a bowl of water (actually 4 of them) so that I can see them all drinking plenty of water. With 8 dogs, I have a lot of faces to wipe down when they get done.
