So some of you might recognize those words from a Lynyrd Skynyrd band song from back in the days, and many might not. Depends on age and music preference. But THIS refers to the Bullie gas smell. If you own a Bullie, you know what I am talking about. Most cause of gas is from the food that you feed. While EBD’s normally have gas problems, you can minimize this greatly by feeding the right food. Many if not most EBD are allergic to wheat and other grain items in the food. This not only causes gas but is also a leading cause of the tear stains as well. There are PLENTY of premium brand dog foods that are grain free. If you change to a new brand, witch over slowly..mix 90% of original and 10% of new, 80/20,70/30 and this can be done over the course of a week. Buy a small bag of the new food before investing in the BIG bags. Watch for severe changes in BM (poop) and STOP if you see any severe changes. There are also some Bullies that are allergic to chicken also. SO, finding the BEST dog food for YOUR dog takes time. It is NOT just the price of the bag. With the premium brands you will feed less. The food is much more digestible; the dog gets more nourishment and will have less stool volume. Oh…and less or practically NO gas.
